DMC Belgrade

DMC Belgrade - One of the oldest cities in Europe, Belgrade is a wonderful city to visit. A vibrant mismatch of its socialist, Habsburg, Ottoman and Roman past, Belgrade can't help but fascinate. It's full of energy and life. Where old meets new, these clashes make for exciting views all throughout the city. Surrounded on three sides by the Dabube and Sava river, Belgrade is also called The Gateway to the Balkans. Numerous restaurants line the river banks, offering live music, as well as cafés and clubs. It is also a popular place to walk and meeting-place for fishermen and artists with its marinas and galleries. We very much hope you will come and visit, it is definitely a treasure worth exploring.

The Fortress of Belgrade was declared as a ‘Monument of Culture of Exceptional Importance’ in 1979. It is an impressive place to see, with the famous ‘Victor’, its old citadel and Kalemegdan Park.

National Museum of Serbia
With its more than 400.000 objects the National Museum of Serbia holds one of the finest art collections in Europe.

Pobednik Monument
The Pobednik Monument is one of the most visited places in Belgrade. It is a sign of Serbia’s Victory over the Ottoman empire and therefore also called ‘the Victor’. You can find the Pobednik Monument at the Fortress of Belgrade.

Republic Square
The Republic Square is one of Belgrade’s busiest places. The National Museum and the National Theatre, both beautiful buildings marking Belgrade’s streetview, are situated here and give the square its special appearance.

Sveti Sava
The Cathedral of Saint Sava is the worlds’ biggest Orthodox church. It is an impressive building with beautiful architecture and can accommodate 10.000 people at the same time. Sveti Sava should be on everybody’s to do list for Belgrade.

The Old Palace
The Old Palace of Serbia was built for king Milan Obrenovic. The purpose of the palace was to exceed all former Serbian leaders. Even today it is one of Belgrade’s most beautiful and impressive buildings, so his mission was surely accomplished.
